We hope you are settling into the new year comfortably. We wanted to share an update on our upcoming outings, opportunities, ways to get involved, and invite you to join us.
Upcoming Outings
Cruising PG – Wednesdays
Our Cruising PG tours will continue throughout the month, every Wednesday starting at 1:00 PM, February 11th. These are relaxed scenic drives around Prince George, with a short recreational stop included. They’re a great option if you’re looking to get out of the house, enjoy the city, and spend some time together without a long commitment. Recreational stops rotate based on interest and may include locations such as the mall, galleries, or other accessible community spaces.
Recommended rate: $20 per rider
Prince George Observatory – Fridays
We are planning tours to the Prince George Astronomical Observatory on Fridays for a unique evening starting at 6:00pm, February 15th . The Observatory is open every Friday until April, weather permitting, and we hope to make this a recurring option for those interested in astronomy and night sky viewing.
Recommended rate: $30 per rider
Entry by donation: $2 recommended
Saturday–Tuesday: Flex Days
Saturday through Tuesday are flexible days and may feature pop-up outings, personalized trips, or group bookings to specific locations. These days allow us to respond to interest, weather, and special requests, and can be used to plan custom outings for groups or individuals.
Pricing & Accessibility
We accept all abilities to pay, and subsidies are available if cost is a barrier. Any amount paid above the recommended rate is greatly appreciated and considered a donation, which helps support our programs and expand services.
As always, our outings are accessible and inclusive. You do not need to have mobility needs to participate, and all ages, identities, and abilities are welcome.
Volunteer Opportunities
In addition to our outings, we are currently seeking volunteers to help support the ongoing functions of our Volunteer Coordinator. As our programs continue to grow, volunteer support plays an important role in helping us stay organized, responsive, and connected with our community.
Volunteer opportunities may include assisting with trip coordination, rider communication, administrative support, outreach, and serving as tour guides or recreation guides on outings. These roles are flexible and can be adapted to your availability, interests, and comfort level.
To support those who are interested in learning more, we will be hosting a Volunteer Information Session on February 12 at 11:00 AM, held at our office. This session will provide an overview of our programs, volunteer roles, and how you can get involved.
